Collaboratory.US was formed in 2013 to provide management services to hospital laboratories that wish to leverage their outreach services through the formation of laboratory networks.
Our comprehensive services include:
• Payer contracting and messengering
• Oversight of financial and patient billing processes
• Facilitating network management, communications, and meetings
• Coordinating vendor relations and legal and compliance needs
Hospital laboratories in this model have aligned together under one tax ID, allowing for centralized outreach billing through a common third-party vendor. This provides an attractive option for health plans by delivering increased access for health plan members in their local communities.
Ultimately, the lab network members enjoy additional revenue realized through increased outreach laboratory business and effectively compete with commercial reference labs.

Executive Director
Daryl has over 40 years of experience in healthcare management with an extensive background in developing and managing clinical provider networks. His passion and strongest skill set is in laboratory peer networks. He has also developed expertise in payer contract consulting and messenger services. Prior to his current role with Collaboratory, he served in various healthcare management positions and originally served in clinical laboratory management.
Ashley Rene
Associate Director, Network Operations
Ashley has a passion for organization and service and enjoys supporting the varied daily needs of lab network operations. Prior to joining the Collaboratory team in 2015, she served more than 15 years in healthcare, business, financial, and academic settings equipping her to serve a variety of Collaboratory roles and management needs.
Kathryn Stough
Health Plan Contracting & Network Support
Kathryn is a senior professional with 20+ years of documented success in the Managed Care and Diagnostic testing Laboratory arena. She has a comprehensive background in Provider Network Management, integrated systems, project management, operational organization, genetic testing, and staff management. She has been recognized for exceptional achievement obtained through the ability to utilize logical, critical, and incisive problem-solving skills. Kathryn possesses the ability to rise to a challenge, negotiate with superior consultative skills, and create and build long lasting C Suite business relationships.
